Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Yes, 'Cuz I sez so, that's why :)

Steve -> "Naked assertion just doesn't quite do it for me. How about some supporting evidence?"

A Speaker Pelosi and committees headed by Rangel, Conyers, Frank, and Waxman gives me chills.

-> "And the Republicans can be trusted? The evidence would suggest otherwise."

How can you say that? It's the Democrats, not the Republicans, who appear more concerned about the feelings of terrorists than with the safety of Americans. If the Democrats had their way, we would be under the control of the United Nations.
