National Media's Refusal to Cover White Couple's Murder Suggests PC at Work
The sudden force that the liberal press brought to bear on the falsely accused Duke lacrosse team has been curiously absent on a much more grisly crime committed against a white couple by a group of black youths.
Personally, I don't think that local crime issues should ever be covered in the national press but if the media are going to cover them, they need to be consistent. My friend La Shawn Barber has a must-read post on the matter:

I think accusing the media of PC is letting them off far too lightly. This is blatant racism. The victims are squeaky clean white kids while perpetrators are nasty-looking black thugs. The level of barbarism that was inflicted on the victims makes Islamic beheadings look merciful in comparison. As is pointed out, when whites inflict barbaric atrocities on blacks, the national media will enter a feeding frenzy for days or even weeks. Where is the outrage of the national media here? Is their bias so far progressed that this side of the equation has essentially become invisible to them?
UPDATE: I'm sure that if the national media ever gets around to covering this story, we will be regaled with stories and evidence showing that the perps were driven to their actions by circumstance and society. Yet with every story of white on black crime, the offenders are shown to be vicious thugs driven by racism and hatred alone. One is left to wonder how the scions of the American media can sleep at night.

Early this year, a white couple was carjacked, tortured, raped, and murdered by a group of black thugs. Christopher Newsom (23) was gang-raped, shot and set on fire. There are unconfirmed reports that the killers cut off his penis while he was still alive. The going-to-straight-to-hell murderers made Channon Christian (21) watch, and then they gang-raped her over four days and left her to die.
