Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Sounding Off

(Fox News) - Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich has said on Syrian TV in Syria that the U.S. presence in Iraq is an illegal occupation and that it was, "based on lies" and "dishonest and crooked from the beginning."

Kucinich is touring the Middle East, which included a stop in Syria where he told a Syrian TV interviewer that he was honored to have the chance to meet with Syrian leader Bashar Assad, whom he said should be "respected and appreciated" for his role as a peacemaker.

Is the Democratic Party’s new tactic to see who can be more of a traitorous bastard? It looks like Dennis the Dirtbag is trying to take the lead. This should put Jane Fonda on the short list for VP. Let me guess, they support the troops.
