The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Stokes commissioners approve hiring of interim health director, OK salary

DANBURY (Winston-Salem Journal) - The Stokes County Board of Commissioners approved last night the hiring of a new interim health director and signed off on a contract with the Northwest Community Care Network to hire a mental-health-services coordinator.
