Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Clinton, Obama can't settle on date for N.C. debate

CBS News, state party have formally invited both candidates to face off on April 27

RALEIGH (Winston-Salem Journal) -
Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton both say they want to have a debate in North Carolina before the state’s May 6 primary.

But they can’t agree on a date.
