Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Locking Up Historical Rock House

STOKES COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) – The Rock House is one of the last surviving Revolutionary War structures in the Piedmont. It still stands, despite more than 220 years of weather, time and lately, vandals. Chad Tucker reports for the house to survive, caretakers are considering locking up the historical site.
