Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Residents Still Living with Urban Loop Noise

(WGHP) - Neighbors living near the Greensboro Urban Loop say the recent rerouting of I-40 traffic has not helped with the noise.

The DOT originally routed all I-40 traffic onto the Urban Loop in Greensboro and changed the existing I-40 route to Business 40. Due to complaints from residents living near the loop and confusion over the rerouted traffic, the state decided to route I-40 traffic back to its original path in Greensboro and name the new loop I-73.

Neighbors acknowledge the decrease in traffic on the roadway but say the noise is still there.
