Crowd packs courtroom to speak out on Stokes Reynolds Hospital--“Keep it open at all costs!” is the unanimous cry

(By Leslie Bray Evans, The Stokes News) - Courtroom A was as full as on a major trial day in Danbury last Thursday night. Scores of citizens from Stokes County and beyond joined their voices at a public hearing to tell the county’s board of commissioners that Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital should be kept open.

Although the board had voted 3-2 the Monday night before the public hearing to remove the option of closing the hospital from the list of possibilities, still the crowd urged them to keep it up and running.
