The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Fox News On Christine O’Donnell: We Have ‘No Plans To Hire Her’

(By Colby Hall, Mediaite) - The midterms are over, and while the GOP regained control of the House, the coronation of the Tea Party movement is still up for debate. Sure, a number of Tea Party candidates won their races, but perhaps the most visible — Delaware Senate candidate Christine O’Donnellsuffered a rather significant defeat. So what’s next for Ms. O’Donnell? Some are suggesting that, not unlike her endorser Sarah Palin, a Fox News contributor-ship is just around the corner. Not so, according to a spokesperson.
