Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Playboy Discovers Women Will Watch Porn With Real Chemistry, “Contextualized” Sex

(By Hillary Busis, Mediaite) - The 'New York Times' has a fascinating article about Playboy TV, of all things — specifically, how it's trying to evolve into a destination for both sexes. As Brooks Barnes writes, as of now, the network is both "too tame to compete with sex-related video-on-demand services" and "too raunchy to appeal strongly to women," meaning that it's stuck in the middle (sort of like the CNN of the adult cable world, no?).
