Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Al Sharpton Says FCC May Force Public Hearings on Rush Limbaugh‘s ’Racist’ Remarks

(By Jonathon M. Seidl, The Blaze) - On Tuesday, Al Sharpton met with the FCC to discuss regulating Rush Limbaugh and his “racist” remarks. On Thursday, he claimed some FCC commissioners are actually entertaining the idea of holding public hearings that would force Limbaugh to defend his commentary.
