Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Al Sharpton & MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch: With the Whole Tucson Shooting, and No MLK Day, Should Strange Arizona Secede From the Union Already?

(The Blast) - MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch claimed the ‘strange’ state of Arizona does not recognize Martin Luther King Day and Al Sharpton agreed on why they believe Arizona should secede from the union on “Morning Joe”. To make the argument, they also referenced the Tucson tragedy.

Arizona does, in fact, recognize MLK day. Arizona voters approved a measure to recognize the holiday in 1992.
