Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Conservative Sen Rand Paul (R-KY): State of the Union Response

(The Blast) - Everyone has been talking about Paul Ryan and Michelle Bachmann’s State of the Union responses. However, Sen. Rand Paul made an unofficial response of his own. This very well may be the most straightforward of them all, all while being the shortest.
