Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Ouch! Florida Player Hit In Unfortunate Area By Teammate After Big Shot

(By Brad Cohen, SportsGrid) - Florida Gators forward Chandler Parsons hit three triples in a double-overtime victory over Georgia last night. After one 3-pointer in the second half, a teammate repaid him with an accidental towel whip to the nether-regions.

The Florida bench got a little too excited after Parsons hit the shot, and the accidental towel whip sent Parsons to floor grabbing his important bits. His teammates surrounded him at half-court and a timeout ensued. Watch below:
