Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

“Golden-Voiced” Ted Williams’ First Commercial Debuts

(By Glenn Davis, SportsGrid) - Last night’s Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, won by Nevada 20-13 over Boston College, was notable not just for Nevada successfully concluding its finest season (12-1), but for the commercial voiceover debut of Ted Williams, the homeless-man-turned-viral-celebrity with a tremendous radio voice. Fittingly, the ad was for a Kraft product (homestyle macaroni and cheese). Here’s the video, which Kraft released Friday:
