Juan Williams: Why Are People In Arizona So Angry?

(By Matt Schneider, Mediaite) - On 'Fox News Sunday', panelist Juan Williams summed up yesterday’s tragic shooting and also offered some unique comments on the people of Arizona. Williams first was concerned that “our government relies on the idea that you can speak to your elected leaders and tell them what you think,” and worried that this incident might disrupt the ease of communication between citizens and members of Congress in the future.

Williams also dismissed the idea of immediately blaming “right-wing rhetoric,” yet did cite the increase of anti-immigrant fervor in Arizona as a growing problem. “People in Arizona have to stop for a second and think about exactly why they are so angry, and why this incident happened in Arizona?” Williams questioned. Some of the important issues Williams previewed here are sure to be the subject of ongoing debate as more details about the shooting emerge.
