Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Who Really Calls Their Political Opponents ‘Enemies’?



(Breitbart.tv) - In the wake of the tragic shooting in Tucson this weekend, Congressmen and media personalities were going out of their way to admonish politicians from referring to their opponents as "enemies". They seem to have forgotten the man who just recently tried to encourage votes in the Latino Community by calling his political opponents "enemies".
