Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Deceptively Edits Rep. Michele Bachmann ‘Armed and Dangerous’ Quote



(Breitbart.tv) - Ed Schultz edited a quote from Rep. Michele Bachmann to make it appear as though she was advocating for her constituents to be, literally "Armed and Dangerous". Here, the full quote shows that Rep. Bachmann was promising to provide facts and materials so that her constituents "armed" with information regarding the "Cap and Trade" legislation. Furthermore, in September, 2009, DNC spokesman Hari Sevugan promised Republicans they "will be met with a rain of hellfire from supporters armed with the facts and you will be held to account.”
