Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Obama Mispronounces Name of 'Great Friend' Gillibrand



(Eyeblast.tv) - At the event at GE in Schenectady, NY announcing GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt as a senior economic adviser, Pres. Obama mispronounces the last name of NY Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, after referring to her as his "great friend."
