Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann Abruptly Calls It Quits



(Breitbart.tv) - Keith Olbermann announced on the air [last night] that "Countdown" will not return to MSNBC thus making [last] evening's broadcast his final one. This is his last sign-off with thanks to his entire staff and a dramatic reading.

NBC has released the following statement:


“MSNBC and Keith Olbermann have ended their contract. The last broadcast of “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” will be this evening. MSNBC thanks Keith for his integral role in MSNBC’s success and we wish him well in his future endeavors.”
