Ted Williams’ Long, Sad History Of Mugshots

(By Dan Fogarty, SportsGrid) - Ted Williams, the “Man with the Golden Voice” who has so captured the country’s imagination, was reportedly picked up by police last night in Los Angeles. It’s a sad turn of events for a man who went from being homeless to getting offered a job as a Cleveland Cavaliers announcer and recording his first commercial for Kraft foods.

Williams was detained by police after an altercation with his daughter at a Hollywood hotel. According to the Daily News, the investigation is ongoing, and no one has been charged (Williams has been released). He was in town to do a number of TV appearances, and on Monday met Kobe Bryant

As Williams himself admits, he has a history of alcohol and drug abuse, which these mugshots, which were originally posted on the Smoking Gun, can attest to.
