The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Sarah Palin Responds To Arizona Shooting Tragedy Via Email To Glenn Beck

(By Jon Bershad, Mediaite) - Sarah Palin is facing some intense pressure following the tragedy in Arizona. To a lesser extent, so is Glenn Beck and so, over the weekend, he sent her an email to see how she was doing as well as urge her to seek protection for her family. On his radio show today, he read from this email as well as from Palin’s response.



“I hate violence. I hate war. Our children will not have peace if politicos just capitalize on this to succeed in portraying anyone as inciting terror and violence.”
