The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. NBC's Meredith Vieira Scolds: Are Hearings on Radical Muslims a Joe McCarthy-Style "Witch Hunt"?



(Eyeblast.tv) - On the March 9 'Today', NBC's Meredith Vieira confronted House Homeland Security Chairman Peter King over his hearings into the radicalization of some American Muslims. "You are being compared to Joe McCarthy, hell bent on a witch hunt," she scolded.
