Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

MSNBC's Chris Matthews Admits: ‘You Know I’m Pretty Pro-Obama in Many Ways’

(By Jonathon M. Seidl, The Blaze) - We already knew that Obama gives MSNBC host Christ Matthews a “tingle.” So maybe now that he‘s admitted that he’s “pro-Obama in many ways” shouldn’t be surprising. But now at least it’s out in the open.

Matthews made the admission during Thursday’s “Hardball.” Interestingly enough, however, the comment came as Matthews was critiquing the president and his bus tour.
