Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Buckley Report: Effects of the Affordable Care Act



(By Bob Buckley, WGHP) - President Obama said the Affordable Care Act would provide health care for the more than 30 million people who weren’t getting it. But what if there’s no longer a doctor to care for those patients?

In the video above, hear from some doctors who say that may happen–all because of simple economics.

The doctors share their ideas on what can save America’s medical system in a future Buckley Report.

The nation’s medical schools said that, at the current graduation rate, the country will be short 150,000 doctors 15 years from now.
