Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: RE: Responding to Behethland with regard to the lottery...

Why would a private business give all of its proceeds to the school system??? Even with the lottery, all proceeds won't be going to the schools... They said on the news that out of every dollar spent on a lotto ticket, 50 cents will go to winnings, 35 cents will go to schools, and 15 cents will go for administrative costs.
