Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Likening Brown to Thomas or Scalia Helps and Hurts

California Supreme Court Justice Janice Rogers Brown has been the target of a Democratic judicial filibuster since 2003. Democrats say she's a radical conservative, worse in their minds than U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
