Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Are these folks above the Constitution?

Regardless of what one thinks about going into Iraq, this going "against the will of the UN" makes me gag. ... The UN is the most corrupt organization on the planet. ... Maybe New York City will use eminent domain and seize the UN Headquarters so they can build a nice skyscraper there on the waterfront.

For the terrorists to be considered prisoners of war, they need to represent a country and wear their country's uniform in the field of battle.
