Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Remorseless Rudolf-- Homegrown Terrorism

Excellent editorial in today's Journal:

In an age when religious zealots are blowing themselves up in subway trains, buses and airplanes, killing the innocent along the way, there should be no public glory bestowed on terrorists. And make no mistake about it, Rudolph is a terrorist.
He is of the same ilk as those in Iraq who drive a car bomb into a crowd of children as a way of spreading terror - all in the belief that only they understand God's word.
