Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Can GOP Moderates Exert Power in Party Dominated by Right?

Yeah, I read this yesterday, and I thought to myself that Mort has this backwards... In my humble opinion, I believe most GOP conservatives inside the Beltway are scared of the RINO's (Republican In Name Only)... To be honest, I believe most GOP conservatives are scared of the RINO's on the state & local level too. :-)
