Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

The withdrawal

I too believe Sharon is making a mistake. He may actually plunge his country into civil war and leave himself with a vicious enemy on his flank. If civil war doesn't break out and the so-called "Palestinians" don't behave, Israel should push them into the sea and re-occupy Gaza.
