Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

A marxist wolf?

"Socialism is merely a transitional state between Capitalism and the "Dictatorship of the Proletariat." All good little Marxists are aware of this. None of them will speak directly about it in mixed company, though."

"She's a "Sojourner." A marxist wolf in Christian sheep's clothing, by design. Google it."

Where in the world is this stuff coming from? Who made these responses to me? I certainly can't find them on the Pulpit! The Sojourners for Truth are a non-denominational Christian organization. Just because they are liberal-leaning doesn't mean they are Communists. Since when do you have to be Republican to be a Christian?

I am not an absolutist. Everything isn't black or white to me. I find it very difficult to understand this idea of "absolute evil". If you look, good ideas can be found in unexpected places. It is abuse of power that can cause things to go awry.
