Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Bush Takes Blame

Bush can't win with y'all on the left.

Bullcrap! His ineptitude has nothing to do with us. We've called a spade a spade from day one. It's just funny (and frustrating) that it takes catastrophes before anyone will even call his hand on it. And for the last time, I believe sexual escapades and lying about them are on a completely different level than declaring war on sovereign nations, lying about our reasons for going and waiting 3 days before responding to the nation's deadliest natural disaster. It's such a ridiculous comparison, it's comical!
