Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Dumb (_!_) quote of the day...

It looks like this is going to be the Democrap's strategy on Roberts. They can't find any technical or judicial reasons to obstruct his confirmation, so they are going to resort to this patently stupid argument that he doesn't "care." Guess what, you pinheads, we don't want him to care or be compassionate. We don't care if he promotes equal opportunity as Teddy "I Hate Being Sober After Mid-Morning" Kennedy has whined. We want this guy to interpret the United States Constitution in accordance with the objectives of the founders when they wrote it. We want him to do this impartially and unemotionally. We don't give a rip how he feels about the people, places, or things involved. Get over it, Howie.
