Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Ron Carroll

Ron Carroll's entire political (and, as far as I know, professional) career could be written up in a textbook on political patronage. Rumors abound, but since the BP is all about facts, I don't intend to spread them further here.

My point was that his nasty little insinuations are very hypocritical since he didn't bother to offer any facts, just speculation and innuendo. My point was to illustrate that his house of glass is precarious enough that he ought to consider carefully before picking up a rock.
