Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Re: RE: Leight beats Robinson

Steve replied: You wish. Leight beat Robinson on the issue of attendance. Vernon made a mistake by trying to serve on the city council and run for Congress. Nice try, though.

Have you talked to even a few W/S residents about Mr. Robinson? He's considered an class A clown by most. I'm not sure how others outside the city see him, but who cares? They don't have to deal with his grandstanding.

If you'd like, we could send him up to Stokes to continue his political career. I'm sure everybody at the Stokes News would love that. They'd never run out of entertaining stories, then.
