Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Catch-Up Time

Hmm. Thoughts on this editorial from Linda Brinson and the folks at the WSJ?

It's a man's world, but it won't be for much longer unless college boys start matching the academic achievements of college women. The 2006 report, "The Condition of Education," came out last week and it shows that women are making rapid advances in school, while men are stagnant. Women are not only excelling in undergraduate and graduate majors long associated with their gender; they are advancing in traditional male-dominated fields, too.
Better look out guys, because women are gaining ground and surging ahead in fields such as biology, the physical sciences, law, medicine and social sciences. In business, women now earn slightly more than half of the degrees, a jump from one-third only 25 years ago...
It might just be time to tell the boys to come inside and work on their homework.
