Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Al Gore is a Model Democrat, Says Howard Dean

Sorry, Strother.

Thanks for your concern, Steve.

Is Dean trying to warm up Democrats to the idea of an '08 Gore run for president or VP? I don't know. While some Democrats might be okay with this, all of them won't be, which makes it a losing proposition from the very beginning. Isn't the party tired of nominating losers?
