Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: RE: Speechless In Seattle

Steve opines: "Now why would George Will suddenly start shamelessly shilling for the GOP?"

Because he knows a Democrat-controlled Congress would want to put the hammer down on Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingraham, etc. Liberal Democrats are fearful of conservative talk radio and Fox News... They are already trying to kick Limbaugh off of Armed Services Radio, and they want to bring back the Fairness Doctrine.

I sense you believe Will is now a Kool-Aid drinker...
