Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Steve -> "Tony Snow reacted to the change in the House by saying that it presented "intriguing possibilities," like passing the comprehensive immigration reform bill that was defeated this year. That didn't take long, did it, Tanya?"

I knew it was going to happen because of the new majority, but hey, life goes on.

Maybe Bush should resign and let Cheney be president for the next two years.
