Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Edwards: Jesus Would Be 'Appalled' at U.S.

American Marxists, even the shallow populist variety like Edwards, love to invoke Jesus. I find it singularly arrogant for Edwards to ascribe a reaction to Jesus for which he has no basis. Mind you, I'm not asserting that Jesus wouldn't be appalled, I am asserting that I have no knowledge and neither does Edwards.

I also find it ironic that Edwards would invoke Jesus when there is ample evidence to show that He would be appalled by Edwards himself and the fact that he has become a very wealthy man off the fruits of other's misery.
