Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Edwards is shameless

What else would we expect from an ambulance-chasing power whore, though?

On his website he has turned Ann Coulter's remarks into an appeal for money. An excerpt:

Can you help us raise $100,000 in "Coulter Cash" this week to keep this campaign charging ahead and fight back against the politics of bigotry?

Ann Coulter's website has a copy of the original plea from David Bonior that included this tidbit:

John was singled out for a personal attack because the Republican establishment knows he poses the greatest threat to their power.

I almost fell out of my chair. Much of the Republican "establishment" is running from Coulter as fast as they can go, yet they were somehow in cahoots with her on this "personal attack." You just can't make this stuff up. One wonders if Edwards has a hire the handicapped policy that requires him to only keep people with an IQ under 90 on staff.

Ann responds thusly:

AMBULANCE CHASER GETS REAR-ENDED BY ANN COULTER -
I'm so ashamed, I can't stop laughing!

JOHN “28,000 SQUARE FOOT HOUSE” EDWARDS NEEDS YOUR MONEY.>

And to Bonior's absolutely hilarious appeal for "Coulter Cash," she offers:

IT'S ALWAYS GOOD TO DIVERT BONIOR FROM HIS PRINCIPAL PASTIME WHICH IS FRONTING FOR ARAB TERRORISTS.

I hope none of you were holding your breath waiting for contrition and remorse from Coulter on this. Republican males take note: Coulter has a bigger set than any of you (cue catty comments from limp pubbies and other leftists on Coulter's physical appearance).

As you know, I disapprove of what Ann Coulter said, but John Edwards is such a hypocrite because he had on his payroll those two bloggers who posted those anti-Catholic remarks.
