Perdue v. McCrory

(Charlotte.com) - Lt. Gov. Bev Perdue emerged from one of the roughest Democratic gubernatorial campaigns in more than two decades Tuesday night to win her party's nomination to face a man who wasn't even in the Republican race this time last year: Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory.

Both Lt. Gov. Perdue and Mayor McCrory won their party's nominations with positive campaigns that emphasized their accomplishments and what they hope to do as governor.
