PHOENIX (KSAZ FOX 10) - Sheriff Joe is no Scrooge. Sheriff Joe Arpaio held a caroling contest for inmates -- and the winner got a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.
There's some talent at Maricopa County's 4th Ave Jail. Pre-trial inmates squared off for Inmate Idol, Christmas edition.
Out of about 50 participants, ten finalists went head to head with their renditions of Christmas carols.
A Christmas turkey dinner with all the sides was awarded to the winner and the winner's cellmates. The dinner includes Christmas cookies -- treats are not usually available in Sheriff Joe's jails.
