The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Newt Gingrich: Obama’s SOTU ‘Fundamentally Dishonest’



(Breitbart.tv) - Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich appeared on 'The Laura Ingraham Show' to give his analysis of the State of the Union as well as the GOP response.

“What Obama and the Democrats are very cleverly trying to do is say, now that we have run over you for two solid years--in the case of Pelosi, four solid years--now that we’ve gotten everything we want, now that we’ve passed a gigantic health bill that has 1,968 grants of power to bureaucrats and creates 159 new offices, now that we have got everything we want, why don’t we agree to not fight?”
