Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Bill Maher, Rep. Anthony Weiner Go After Palin, Beck And Clarence Thomas’s Wife

(By Glenn Davis, Mediaite) - Given some of Rep. Anthony Weiner’s other TV appearances, putting him on Real Time with Bill Maher on uncensored HBO seemed like a can’t-miss idea. And if there was no talking over one another like, say, here, there were plenty of cracks about Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Glenn Beck’s audience…and Clarence Thomas‘ wife.
