Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Greetings from Roanoke, VA

Greetings dear BP fans. ... I'm sitting here in the lobby of a Wyndham Resort Hotel in Roanoke, VA, unable to check into my room because the computer system has crashed that checks people in... Steve, WE NEED YOU UP HERE!!! They could use your computer knowledge. ... Anyway, I've had a good trip, even though I need a shower right now because I stink. Ha! My luck, I'll spot a good lookin' woman who seems interested in the Nature Boy, but she will get a whiff of me and puke. Ha!
