Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Teachers' Unions Join Campaign to Demonize Wal-Mart

Why do teachers put up with this crap? What business is it of the Teachers' unions where we shop? And are these wonderful zealots going to cough up the extra cash for parents of modest means to pay extra for their school supplies? What a bunch of elitist hypocrites!

On the bright side, quite a few people rank the teachers' unions up there with other degenerate organizations like NAMBLA and the KKK. This may result in extra sales for Wal-Mart.
