Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Model Democrats

Steve opines: I expect the rank-and-file are very tired of it. That's why Her Majestic Self of the Thick Ankles will be the nominee. There is no viable contender from either faction of the Republicrat Party who has any reasonable chance at stopping her.

Cheer up, my friend... Here's my prediction: Hillary Clinton will NOT be the Democratic nominee in '08. The reason being is that I don't see her winning 270 electoral votes in a general election and the rank-and-file Democrats don't either.
