Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: RE: RE: Speechless In Seattle

Because he knows a Democrat-controlled Congress would want to put the hammer down...

And that's different than a Republican-controlled Congress (and White House) in exactly what way? I know, the Republicans would just stifle a different set of pundits.

Let me repeat the questions...

Name the political affiliation of one of the Senators who created CFR and who has announced presidential aspirations for 2008 and name the political affiliation of the President who signed CFR into law after promising he wouldn't.

I'd sure love to see any evidence whatsoever that a Republican Congress is any less an enemy of the First Amendment than a Democrat Congress would be. To be fair, I guess it is unlikely they would be any moreso either.
